U.S. Congressional Caucus Reconvenes
The Congressional Friends of Animals Caucus, a bipartisan coalition of U.S. House of of Representatives members, is reconvening and seeking new members to address animal issues.
During the last Congress, the caucus had 25 members, but four Republicans were not re-elected. Rep. Christopher Shays (R-CT) and Rep. Tom Lantos (D-CA) are the caucus co-chairs and longtime supporters of pro-animal legislation. They have sent a letter to all representatives encouraging them to join and support the caucus.
Please contact your
U.S.
Representative (contact info below) and explain why animal issues matter to you as a constituent. The more members the caucus has, the more effective it can be in getting much-needed animal protection legislation enacted.
