Tax season is just around the corner. Remember the tax check off on your Maine return and help to fund "Help Fix ME", Maine's Spay and Neuter Program
The tax check off is located on the CP Schedule. Ask your tax preparer or look for it in your tax software program.
Make a donation to the fund and help reduce Maine's population of unwanted or stray cats and dogs.

Maine Animal Coalition received the following appeal from the owner of the missing dogs

Opening for Animal Advocate on the Maine Pull Events Commission
The Commission is charged with duties including the development of rules for pulling, licensing of pulling superintendent, and the taking actions on violations of pulling rules.

MAC again participated in Fur Free Friday
The annual protest against the inherent cruelty of the fur industry was held in South Portland on November 24, 2006.

s celebration of children's reading was held on August 19, 2006, at the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport.

Maine Animal Coalition joins the Center for Biological Diversity in opposition to Proposed New Predator Control Rules
MAC was contacted by one of the Center's Staff Attorney and asked to sign the letter of opposition to the proposed rules. Please consider commenting privately.
