Maine Animal Coalition
Since 1989, Maine Animal Coalition has worked to promote compassion towards all animals and to instill this compassion as a guiding principle in the State of Maine. MAC believes in educating the public about animal suffering and exploitation in hopes that this knowledge will fundamentally change society's approach to animals. MAC also believes in leading by example, and, therefore, strives to provide the information necessary to live a life that minimizes animal suffering.
The Linkage Project
The Linkage Project is working to increase community awareness of the strong link between animal cruelty and human violence and training human and animal welfare workers and law enforcement officers from across the state to work together to stop violence against people and pets.

Workshop Description: The Sowing Seeds Humane Education Workshop is an exciting, interactive workshop and will teach you how to offer empowering, effective, and transformative humane education programs and to communicate about important global issues in a positive and inspiring manner. Sowing Seeds is designed for educators, activists and advocates of social justice, environmental preservation, animal protection, and all those wishing to work for positive social change. Humane education examines the challenges facing our planet, from human oppression and animal exploitation to materialism and ecological degradation.
